Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Orthopedic Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,962 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have an active state license to apply Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry experience preferred Required IV therapy and phlebotomy skills/experience: PICC line management and starting IVs Cerner experience preferred Previous travel experience preferred Description: The position is for an Ortho RN on a 38-bed unit. Candidates are required to work every third weekend. No on-call duty is required. Clinicians will float to other medical-surgical departments as needed. The facility prefers candidates with telemetry experience. Candidates must have the capability to manage PICC lines and start IVs. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to work with patients undergoing orthopedic elective surgeries such as total joint replacements, spine surgeries, and trauma patients needing orthopedic surgical interventions. Special procedures in the unit may include traction, bedside debridement, and complex dressing changes. Equipment used in the unit includes slings, walkers, canes, traction devices, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, syringe pumps, hospital beds, and vital sign monitors.
