Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing and rehab setting for a 13-week SNF contract with a Monday–Friday day schedule. Details - Work setting is a skilled nursing facility with a mix of approximately 80–90% general outpatient PT and 10–20% inpatient/swing bed - Patient load of 10–13 patients per day - Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts) - Contract length is 13 weeks - Epic is the preferred EMR system - Free residential parking is available on site Requirements - Minimum 1 year of PT experience in an outpatient and/or inpatient skilled nursing and rehab setting - Valid state Physical Therapist license required; license required if applicable - Current BLS certification required - Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required - Epic EMR experience preferred - Strong teamwork, customer service, and self-starter qualities are highly valued Additional Information - Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing individualized treatment programs in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices - Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team - Business casual attire or solid color scrubs with closed-toe shoes required - COVID and flu vaccination declinations are accepted - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate; candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify - All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation — maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract - Travelers may work up to 18 months continuously before a 3-month break in service is required; for Allied and Non-Clinical roles, the maximum continuous period is 12 months before a 6-month break is required - Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler - Compliance documentation must be complete before the clinician can begin seeing patients; this process may take 2–3 weeks American Traveler Job ID P-683223.
