Job Description Job Description Imagine Your Shift At STERIS in
St. Louis, you arrive for your afternoon shift and bring an entire
liquid filling and packaging line to life. You dial in the filler,
confirm hose hookups, calibrate the check weigher, and run test
bottles through the labeler, capper/plugger, and cap torquer. The
Videojet code dater and bar coder print crisp, compliant codes as
you keep a sharp eye on weights, seals, and labels. Before the
first hour is up, you’ve met schedule targets, logged your startup
checks to cGMP/ISO procedures, and helped a new teammate understand
a line changeover. What You’ll Run and Own Set up, operate, adjust,
and troubleshoot a full packaging line: bottle in-feed,
unscrambler, labeler, bottle filler, capper/plugger, cap torquer,
Videojet code dater, check weigher, bar coder, case sealer,
conveyors, and related controls. Manage material flow: correct hose
hookups, panel operation, and timely requests for bottles, caps,
labels, cases, and other supplies. Hit production schedules while
maintaining detailed written/electronic records in alignment with
cGMP and ISO procedures. Train a replacement operator under the
direction and monitoring of the department supervisor. Execute
minor maintenance and assist Maintenance with more complex work as
needed. Conduct proper filling, weighing, capping, sealing, casing,
labeling, and coding for powders, liquids, solids, creams, lotions,
and pastes. Perform quick, accurate changeovers: container size
change, equipment setup, and weight adjustments for different
package sizes. Maintain a clean line and workspace; mark containers
of hazardous waste (e.g., Cal Stat washout liquid) as “Hazardous
Waste.” Capture and input quality and inventory data in written or
electronic formats. Tools and Technologies Automatic liquid filling

components; make hookups across different lines; perform routine
mechanical adjustments and changeovers Liquid Fill Pumps and
Equipment What It Takes Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
Comfort reading instructions, warning labels, and equipment
manuals; basic math, writing, and data entry. Skilled palletization
of finished/unfinished goods and accurate storage to designated
locations. Exceptional caution when operating moving equipment to
protect people, materials, and property. Preferred 3 years working
with liquid filling machinery, pumps, valves, piping, and cGMPs.
Background in chemical manufacturing. Experience in FDA or other
regulated environments. Physical and Work Conditions Lift, move,
and carry up to approximately 60 lbs; climb heights of about 10
feet; stand for extended periods. Strong hand-eye coordination,
peripheral vision, and manual dexterity; read scales, dials, and
gauges. Wear required PPE; work with minimal supervision;
communicate clearly and collaborate well. Schedule, Pay, and
Location Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday (overtime based
on business needs). Shift subject to change based on Union Bid
System. Pay: $23.59 per hour $0.75 shift differential bonus paid
bi-weekly. Location: 7405 Page Ave., St. Louis, MO. Hire Type:
