working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Saint
Louis, Missouri, 63136! Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years required
License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS,
BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Experience in ventilators, titration of
pressors, and insulin drips. First-timers accepted. Weekend
requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend. Description:
Responsibilities include providing care in a step-down unit for
patients recovering from intensive care. Ratios are 1:4. Must have
experience in titration of vasopressors, sedation medications,
insulin drips, and care of ventilated patients. Familiarity with
chest tubes, arterial lines, and cardiac arrhythmias is essential.
Candidates must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months.
Daily census for the unit averages 25 patients. The unit provides
acute medical care, typically serving as a step-down from intensive
care. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various
services. Must float to lower acuity floors as needed. Flexibility
in scheduling and adherence to weekend requirements is necessary.
