working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Saint
Louis, Missouri, 63136! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NIH required Must-Have: Experience in vents, titration of pressors,
and insulin drips required. Must have been at the bedside within
the last 6 months. Description: The position is for a Registered
Nurse in a Step Down unit. The nurse will be responsible for caring
for patients who require close monitoring and intermediate care.
The patient to nurse ratio is 1:4. The nurse will float to lower
acuity floors to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts consist of 2
shifts every other weekend. Proficient experience is required in
titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, and management of
various medical devices. Experience in caring for tracheostomy
patients and managing arterial lines is also required. Knowledge of
cardiac arrhythmias and chest tube management is essential.
Candidates must have strong assessment and critical thinking
skills. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services
is expected. This role involves high acuity patients transitioning
from intensive care. Skills in monitoring and troubleshooting
alarms on ventilators are necessary. Candidates must demonstrate
competency in emergency response, including rapid response and code
blue situations. Good communication and interpersonal skills are
important for patient and family interaction. Compliance with all
