SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled and certified Surgical Specialty Technologist to lead our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) or Transplant team. This lead technologist will play a critical role in maintaining our tradition of excellence in surgical procedures, ensuring top-tier patient care in highly specialized operations. The ideal candidate will bring a dedicated expertise in CVOR or transplant surgical settings, embodying our values in every aspect of their work. Provide technical assistance during complex cardiovascular or transplant surgeries. Lead and coordinate activities of surgical technologists in the operating room. Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and functioning properly before and during procedures. Implement and uphold strict compliance with health and safety policies and procedures. Train and mentor junior technologists and support staff. Manage surgical supplies inventory, ensuring availability of necessary items for all procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to facilitate effective communication and team cohesion. Expertise in cardiovascular or transplant surgery procedures. Strong leadership and team management skills. High proficiency in using and maintaining surgical equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced and critical environments.
