Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,228 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Medical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Medical ICU License: Current RN License in the state Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years of experience in Cardiac Medical ICU. Inpatient experience required. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with mission and values. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines of nursing practice. Works within the Nurse Practice Act and adheres to the Code of Conduct. Requires standing and walking most of the time on duty. Meets unit-specific physical demands, involving bending, stooping, and assisting with lifting and turning patients. May be required to work differing schedules and shifts based on patient care requirements. Characteristics of patients include those with sepsis, respiratory issues, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, and suicidal ideations. Maintains a high level of professional accountability and patient care. Expects excellence and holds each other accountable within the team.
