Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Springfield,
Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Med Surg RN - Urology/Nephrology

Description: Will work Charge as needed for this assignment.
Position involves Medical/Surgical nursing focused on Urology and
Nephrology. Average daily census is 23 in a 25-bed unit. Candidates
may be accepted with a solid foundation as an RN if new to travel.
Candidates must have over 2 years of experience in medical/surgical
nursing. Weekend work is required, with shifts every other weekend.
Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected. Block
scheduling accommodations may be attempted but are not guaranteed.
Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions.
Candidates must have experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry
settings. Required skills include blood product administration,
central line blood draws, and peripheral line care. Candidates must
have experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow nasal
cannula. Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care is
essential. Experience with Cerner charting is required. Patient
groups include adults with various urology/nephrology conditions.
Common diagnoses include kidney stones, enlarged prostates, and
kidney-related cancers. Continuous bladder irrigation and
post-operative care are integral to the role. The unit is very
busy, with frequent discharges and readmissions. Candidates must be
