Registered Nurse (RN) | Psych Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,992 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Psych RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year minimum preferred License: Valid State Nursing License required Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: - Geriatric care experience - Inpatient care experience - Locked unit experience - Medication administration skills including PO, RECTAL, IM, IV, SC - IV starting and maintenance skills - Blood glucose monitoring skills - Foley catheter insertion and maintenance Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Behavioral Health unit. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric psychiatric populations. Some patients may have co-morbid medical conditions requiring a med-surg approach. Common diagnoses include dementia, depression, Parkinson's Disease, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. The nurse may require participation in pre-op preparation for ECT. Responsibilities include application of restraints and presence in the milieu. The nurse will be required to float within the service line and to other behavioral health units. The RN will work as a charge nurse as needed. A patient ratio of 1:6 will be maintained. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Experience with EPIC charting is necessary. Candidates must have skills related to behavioral health disorders and substance use disorders. The position entails providing care to patients with severe intellectual disabilities, psychotic disorders, and suicidal behavior. The nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services.
