Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Med/Surg Tele RN for night shifts, requiring a MO or compact RN license and BCLS/NIH certification. Responsibilities - Work in a neuro-focused Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital - Nights, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 - Typical patient ratio is 1:6 - Required to work two shifts every other weekend, with specific nights varying by rotation - Floating may occur to all units except ICU, SDU, and ED, within clinical scope - EPIC charting system is used and experience may be required for certain units - No on-call responsibilities - Navy scrubs required - Care for neuro and general med/surg patients requiring telemetry monitoring - No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract - No time off permitted during first week of orientation - Travelers can stay for up to 18 months with a required 3-month break afterward - Completion of onboarding modules is required as part of pre-start orientation - Parking is provided at no cost - Returning travelers must follow facility-specific break-in-service policies Requirements - Active MO or compact RN license required; pending license may be accepted - Current BCLS and NIHSS certifications required - Minimum 1-2 years of relevant RN experience preferred - First-time travelers are accepted - Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility - Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler - COVID and Flu vaccination documentation may be required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-667350.
