Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Orthopedic Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,962 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have active state license to apply Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry experience preferred Required skills include IV therapy and phlebotomy PICC line management and starting IVs experience required Cerner experience preferred Previous travel experience is preferred Description: Position available for Orthopedic Registered Nurse. This is a 38-bed unit focusing on orthopedic elective surgeries, including total joint replacements and trauma patients. The nurse will work 4x12 hour shifts, in a night schedule format. Every other weekend work is required. No floating within the department is allowed; however, floating to other medical-surgical departments as needed is expected. Telemetry experience is preferred. The nurse will be responsible for managing PICC lines and starting IVs. Candidates with prior experience using Cerner for charting will be favored. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential in this collaborative setting. Nurses are expected to provide high-quality patient care involving complex dressing changes and managing IV pumps. A strong understanding of the patient demographic, which includes adults and geriatrics, is necessary. This position offers an opportunity to work in a Magnet-accredited facility.
