Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Springfield, Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Must have IV therapy and phlebotomy skills - Experience in blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, and PICC line management - Knowledge of isolation precautions Description: The position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. This role requires working three 12-hour shifts during the day. The average daily patient census is 21. Experience with a patient ratio of 7 is preferred. The nurse will be expected to float as needed to meet department needs. Candidates should be amenable to working every other weekend. Required skills include administering total parenteral nutrition, NG insertion, and tube feeding management. Candidates must have experience with heparin drips and administering medications such as amiodarone and Lasix (not titrated). Interdisciplinary support services are available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates should be familiar with charting systems, specifically Cerner. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, such as GI bleed and pancreatitis. The ability to handle TPN administration and manage complex patient needs is crucial.
