Local Team Collaboration: We take pride in our well-established
team of intensivist physicians and ICU acute care advanced practice
providers (APPs) at SSM Health DePaul Hospital. Work alongside a
skilled team providing 24/7 on-site coverage in the 20-bed medical
and 18-bed surgical ICU, caring for patients across various
specialties, including medical, surgical, neuro, cardiac, and
cardiovascular. Our team brings a diverse mix of ICU clinical
practice experience to deliver high-quality, collaborative care.
Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible critical care
physicians (MD or DO). Ability to obtain a Missouri license. A
commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong
problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting. Ability to
work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate proficiency in
all technical skills required in critical care. Practice in the
Heart of the Community Flexible Scheduling: Full-time physicians
work an average of 15 monthly shifts, typically in block shifts of
4 to 5 days at a time. We collaborate to manage the schedule as
equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding
work/family life balance. Key Responsibilities: Provide
comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the ICU, working
within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest level of
patient care. The ICU operates as a closed unit, with co-management
for cardiovascular ICU patients. Collaborate with subspecialty
back-up, rapid response teams, and code blue teams to ensure
efficient and effective patient management. We will utilize EPIC
and our internal informatics platform for streamlined communication
and patient data management, contributing to an organized and
