Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,306 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years License: Valid State License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Critical care experience Inpatient experience Level I Trauma Center experience Phase I PACU experience Dysrhythmia recognition and management Blood product administration Phlebotomy skills Starting IVs IV vasopressors ICP monitoring Care of ventilated patients Description: This position requires working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with rotating starts as needed. The average daily census is between 70 to 90 patients, spread across 38 patient bays. The patient population includes adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric patients in a high-acuity trauma setting. Surgical patients recovered include those from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant surgeries. Open-heart surgeries and liver transplants are not included in the recovery of patients. This unit operates 24/7 and maintains a critical care profile, requiring staff to manage patients requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring, transfusions, and vasoactive medications. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and rapid response teams. Experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia is essential for this position.
