Job Description:
Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology
Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour
Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Experience: Minimum 1 year
experience required. First-timers accepted. License: Must have
active license in hand to apply. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT,
RCIS required. Must-Have: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab experience.
Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience. Cardiac Implant Closure
Device skills. Cardiac Stent Placement skills. Diagnostic
Catheterizations (Adult) skills. IABP Placement/Removal skills.
Interpretation of dysrhythmias skills. Left heart catheterization
skills. Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) skills.
Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) skills. Right
heart catheterization skills. Rotablader atherectomy skills. Scrub
Procedures skills. Equipment setup skills. Recognition of
life-threatening arrhythmias skills. Isolation Precautions
experience. Sterile Technique experience. Middle and Older Adult
age-specific competencies. Cerner experience required. Description:
This position requires a Cath Lab Tech to work a 3x12 day shift.
The clinician will be responsible for performing various cardiac
procedures. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience
in a diagnostic or interventional Cath lab. Weekend availability of
2-3 weekends per contract is expected. On-call duties will be
required as needed. Floating within the scope of practice to meet
facility needs is not applicable. Candidates must be prepared to
discuss schedule requests. No radius restrictions for local
candidates. Pending licenses are not accepted. Ideally, candidates
should not have more than 5 days of requested time off. The
facility may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without
compensation for those hours. The candidate must have specified
procedural responsibility skills and experience. Infection control
skills and experience are essential. Age-specific competencies are
required for middle and older adults. Candidates must possess a
strong background in Cerner charting. Please note that all clinical
staff must adhere to compliance requirements throughout the
duration of the contract. Floating across the hospital or to nearby
affiliates may be necessary. Candidates are expected to complete
all job responsibilities professionally and reliably.
