Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10
Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; will consider 1 year if
from a Level 1 trauma facility. License: Valid nursing license
required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Scrub experience
for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular. Circulating experience
required. Description: Scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and
vascular surgery is required. Candidate must be able to circulate.
Experience with cardiac and thoracic cases is a primary focus.
Familiarity with vascular (open and endovascular procedures),
transplant procedures, and Whipple procedures is preferred. Nights
will be scheduled for 4x10 hour shifts from 20:30 to 07:00.
First-timers accepted only if they have more than 2 years of
experience in a Level 1 trauma facility. Weekend requirements are
per call policy. Night shift agency staff do not take call.
Candidates will be expected to float within their scope to meet
facility needs. No block schedule accommodations will be made.
Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending
licenses are accepted. No more than 7 days of requested time off
allowed during the 13-week contract. All staff are required to work
every other weekend. Only supervisory references from the last two
years are preferred at the time of submission. Experience with EPIC
charting system is required. Candidates should be aware of
potential background checks as per policy. Travelers may float
within service lines.
