-Position Highlights
- Up to a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus
- $5/hr Barnes-Jewish Hospital Med/Surg Nurse Differential
- Eligible hires will receive a one-time deposit of an additional
36 hours of PTO, 90 days after their start date

- 12 Hour Shifts, Part Time position
- Night Shift Differential -- At the Washington University and
Barnes-Jewish Transplant Center, we perform approximately 500
solid-organ transplants a year on average, making us one of the
largest organ transplant centers in the nation. Our doctors are
leaders in transplant services and teachers of the next generation
of specialists. With patient care as our main focus, we provide
evidence-based medicine with compassion. -Details:- 37 bed
Inpatient Unit- Will handle overflow from the Emergency Department,
Trauma and Ortho units- Full-Time Benefits Eligible with Pension

Preferred Qualifications
Role PurposeProvides direct patient care activities including
assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation
within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
-Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing
environment.Educates patients and their families on how to manage
their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs
and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality
and regulatory compliance. - Participates in professional
development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care
with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the
interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in
accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing
care. - Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of
care across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical,
psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care,
including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and
population-specific needs.
