This position may be based in any of the following office locations: St Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Springfield, IL; or Springfield, MO. This is not a remote position. We are a fast-growing firm with 500 employees across 25 offices and in 10 states, serving clients through our four primary business groups: Aviation Surface Transportation Water Resources Building & Site Services As a Senior Structural Engineer , you'll play a key role in supporting the Surface Transportation team, while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment. Here’s what you’ll do: Planning, design, and project management of moderate to complex structural projects Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary project engineers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery Engage clients, agencies and other professionals within the transportation engineering industry Here is what you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited university 5 years' minimum related structural engineering experience with a strong emphasis in the design of bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures Registered Professional Engineer required Experience with MoDOT or IDOT bridge design and plan preparation required Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer Proficient with various structural design and analysis software Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal and active listening skills Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Ability to work in a team environment, flexibility to adjust as project workloads demands change, and the ability to work independently Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions Demonstrated responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork Ideally, you will also have: Licensed Structural Engineer preferred Experience in bridge inspections Experience and/or desire to mentor and train young engineers Willingness to travel as needed Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Physical Requirements: Physical demands vary depending on the specific nature of assigned projects. The expected compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
