Security (BDS) - Phantom Works organization is seeking Low
Observable - Signature Design and Integration Engineers to join the
Phantom Works team located in St. Louis, MO.This is a great
opportunity to work new designs and integration of stealth
materials and technologies as part of an integrated product team.
Low Observable (LO) Design & Integration engineers apply knowledge
of electromagnetic theory & principles to develop new and
innovative stealthy systems and components for next generation
platforms. This job requires both hands-on and deskwork.Our teams
are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels
including; Associate and Experienced Level Low Observable -
Signature Design and Integration Engineers.Position
Responsibilities:
- Support the LO Design and Integration team
- Represent LO within an Integrated Product Team
- Develop and integrate cutting edge low observable
technologies
- Participate in weekly configuration development activities
- Generate design influence initiatives and direct design trade
studies that may result from those initiatives
- Perform design optimization through electromagnetic modeling
and simulation
- Analyze signature data (RF or IR)
- Work with suppliers and customers (internal & external) to
ensure compliance, verification and validation with technical
requirements
- Direct testing of LO componentsOther Responsibilities May
Include:
- Agility: Candidates may work on multiple projects. Strong
organization and documentation skills will be needed to manage
multiple simultaneous projects in various states of maturity
- Technical writing: Work on specifications, procedures, and
reports and guide them through a peer review process
- Data visualization and communication: Disseminate results and
status to project stakeholders. Statuses may be a frequent as
weekly where the candidate would be representing the Boeing Company
to the Government and/or various suppliers
- Travel: Some travel is expected, ranging from a few days to a
few weeks up to 10%.
- Support: Candidates will interact with personnel doing
fabrication and testing of prototypes and aircraft parts and
systemsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected
candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed
location options.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret
Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security
Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered
active)This position requires ability to obtain program access, for
which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science
- Experience in detailed low observable design, integration,
fabrication, and test
- Experience in aircraft design and configuration
- (Level 3): 3 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of education and experienceTypical
Education/Experience: - (Level 2)Education/experience typically
acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited
course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years'
related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical
education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.(Level 3)Education/experience typically
acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited
course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'
related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical
education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: This
