Job Description Job Description SPANISH TEACHER (PreK-8th Grade
Roles) Instruction and learning provided in English and Spanish.
This posting is for a position during the 2026-2027 school year and
would start in August 2026. Must-Haves- High-priority skills and

effective manner Minimum Qualifications - Language Proficiency:
Near-native fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish.
- Teaching Certification: Possession of a valid teaching license in
Missouri or another U.S. state, or eligibility to teach in the
country where the teacher received their professional training.
Acceptable certifications include: - - Early Childhood Education -
Early Childhood Special Education - Elementary Education - Middle
School Education - High School Education - Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Literacy, Language, or a closely
related field. Master’s degree and above is preferred.
Nice-to-Haves- Skills and qualities that are a plus but not
necessarily a requirement - Teaching experience in K-8 classroom -
Strong data tracking and interpretation habits - Solid
understanding of academic and behavioral strategies for students
with various needs - Knowledge of best practices when working with
language learners Responsibilities - Provide instruction in core
content areas (literacy, math, science, etc.) to PreK-8th grade
students, depending on grade level assigned, in target language and
English - Ensures safety of students by providing active
supervision - Builds strong relationships based on mutual respect
across dimensions of difference with students, families, and all
stakeholders - Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds and
differentiates instruction - Develops and uses an effective
classroom culture plan - Collects and analyzes data, and uses it to
drive decisions - Prepares and implements daily lessons aligned to
the curriculum - Provides high-quality and consistent input in the
language of instruction per the dual language model Compensation
and Benefits The annual salary for this position is competitive and
rages from $50,000 – $66,166. Our salaries are well-above market
rate: SLLIS salaries are higher than 97% of public schools in
Missouri. Your salary would be based on the highest postsecondary
degree you have obtained and the number of years of experience you
